Darkwind
A couple of fixes

*sam*

Posted Mar 12, 2015, 9:10 am
I had a chat with *Xman* the other day, and we put together a list of stuff that needs fixing/improving - the plan is to meet once a month to do this.

I have so far completed these:
-- change premium training from tavern as well as training facility
-- add skillcaps to custom events

Still to look into:
-- SCL: spawns are often too close?
-- add a training camp to BL
-- vehicles with no weapons are ignored by NPCs in scouts??
-- should not be possible to bounty out of a SCL combat

I'm also planning on giving *Xman* the ability to close down stuck events, and a couple of other things -- more on that later.

That's great Sam, could you just elaborate on the tavern training thing for me I don't know what that was?

I'm thinking what he means is that we will be able to change premium and CHR training at taverns, which opens up non-training towns...and camps?

If so, that's pretty cool.

I hope that is what SAM means to do- that would indeed be pretty cool, especially for perma camp gangers

That's it, yes. Mostly to get around the problem of not being able to turn off Chrome training while away from the big towns.

Can I ask for a very unimportant but quick fix please SAM?
when you break down items in camp, the writing is white, on a very light background.
My ageing eyes and ageing laptop means I just can't read it.
Thanks and much love,
Brun.

Brun , yes good one I cant and I have good glasses!

Sam sorry to be as two limited length pieces of lumber but the fix you mentioned regarding training. Does this mean that there is still no effect of premium and chrome training unless there is a training centre, is this correct, what has changed is that we can now swap between the training types at a tavern anywhere in order that we don't spend dw dollars and chrome where there is no benefit.

yeah that's a bugger if I want to know what its saying I drag highlighter with the mouse.  most of the time im not bothered but it also lists the mech points remain the same way.

Thank you for the fix and thanks X for speaking to the god of Evan

The change by switching the ability to select character training to the taverns was to help make it easier if the character was not in a town with a training center.

If you had a character training in FL and wanted to switch to $500 DW training, you would have to travel to BL to SF or BL to GW to SS
(minimum 2 full days), then double that for the return trip.

The actual benefit to switch to CHR training at a tavern, as far as I know, does not affect the boost. This change was only done to make it easier to change character training types.

I did not get special trainnig this last season....no points for SCL training.
Alec Burke

I think the problem is actually that the ability to use SCL vouchers has been removed as part of the "fix" to permit the changing of premium training in taverns. I rarely use my vouchers, so have ones going back to 2064 and have no option to use them this week.

I can see in my activities page that I supposedly received two vouchers from last season back on 2/22, so I think last season's were awarded.

Please re-fix by re-adding the "start special training" button that is now missing to use vouchers from the SCL.

I just sent Sam the info on this. I will post any updates as I get them.

Any chance of the in-game menu UI being reworked? There are still some things only possible through the website and the layout is kind of clunky, with the DW:Tactical button being almost out of reach when I play in a window.

Also it would be great if we could see how many turns are needed for the weapons to reload/cars to be flipped etc

I just checked character training after the weekly update and noticed the "Special Training" option is back.

except that now special training shows at the tavern instead of the training center. Someone might want to update the wiki

It has always been at the tavern

I just noticed that when I change my ganger's training focus from Driving to Handguns, my ganger was automatically removed from the $500 a week training.

I already reported this in the Bugs Forum and it is on the list for the next meeting to be addressed. All you have to do is reselect training type and you are good to go.

is auto repair for vehicles broken? I've had to manually repair my cars for the past week
*The X Man*

Posted Mar 24, 2015, 9:44 am
I don't use auto config for repairs, so I couldn't say. No one has posted or brought this problem to anyone's attention over the past week either. Ask some other players in the lobby that use auto config and see they they have any issues and can offer you a little help. I will make note of this and ad to the list if other players are having a problem as well.

I use auto config all the time on every vehicle I run, no problems here.

I had an issue for 1 day but hit restore and re-saved on offending cars works again.

Awesome Sam

Greatly appreciated :)

As for thoughts of cybernetic prosthetics (peg leg for DW$ - augmented leg for chrome) for gangers & maybe DW test realm, we'll let that thought simmer in our minds for a bit :D

Not a bug, but was wondering if it is possible to get a clean/restore button on cars that are in camp?

I'm not asking to be able to repaint cars in camp, only to restore and clean them up so you can keep seeing the artwork on them, rather than the rusty hulks they become.

Go to your vehicles tab from your gang page. There will be a list of towns and camps. At the bottom of that list is a button to clean all vehicles. Doing this cleaning here will do all vehicles in all towns and all camps. This does cost DW $ since you are cleaning in bulk. The amount you will pay for bulk cleaning shows in this window as well.

I am glad to see there are players out there who don't want to roll around in a dirty ride! A lot of group scouts I host, this is a requirement! Keep'em clean guys!  B)

I have recently noticed when using my Trash Truck that I can only use the Auto Config to load 4 different types of ammo, and 4 gangers into the car, I have all the boxed ticked apart from Auto-repair components.

Is this just me or is it for everyone?

It doesn't seem to save any extra gangers added or ammo added. I understand this wont affect most people as they don't run more than 4 sets of ammo, or have auto crew on. however is it possible to tweak it to save up to the maximum amount of gangers the car can fit. No idea if it is hard to do or not, as I am not a computer genius, however it is a little annoying having to do the last lots of ammo and gangers myself as I sometimes forget.

I noticed that when I break apart a car for scrap at a camp, I don't get the scrap/CP/EP for the weapons and other components of the car.

The work around is, of course, to remove all the parts first, but it's a bit clunky.

I will check with a few other players who use these types of vehicles and setups if they experience the same issue. This is the main reason I do not use auto config. I would rather be more hands on with setup, repairs, etc. That way you can always make changes any time you feel there is a need.

To get this and any future issues handled quicker, please post them in the appropriate forum thread. This should be in the bugs thread. Thanks for posting this Splurs, I will still add it to my list.

You always have to remove weapons and engines and break them down separately. The main reason you want to do it this way is so you can repair the item first, then break it down. This will get you more scrap and CPs for each item.

This post, if you want to discuss it further, should go in the suggestions or discussions forums. Thanks for the post Tallus, this is info that some newer players may not know when using camps for the first time.

if you're in a camp the camp may be set to not allow auto-repair, which is common.

this is true. when i ran a tt out of bl as part of a larger squad i carried spare ammo for the other cars as well (the returns can be brutal). never was able to get all the different types to auto-config, always had to add some manually (leading to a few tense moments when i forgot. 10 rounds from a tank gun is not really enough for 2 whole encounters...)

Yes auto config only works for four ammo classes per car not sure about auto crew.

Autoconfig works for a max of 4 crew members.
