A convoy of a dozen plus vehicles, including four lorries roll into Texan for the first time. Not the first time for the gangs, but a first in the purpose of building a new camp.
Without hesitation they pile outta the cars and move to the Tombstone Tavern, telling stories of the battles on the way to Texan. Including the last fight within sight of town. Soon everyone is talking about K-pick. Not for anything he did on the way here, just that he's buying for everyone, ganger and bar fly alike. K-pick raises a glass to Derek. His one man charge with a pulveriser. He mentioned hearing "YOLO" on the radio as he went toward the pile of wreckage, before the heavy rocket silenced him. K-Pick talked over a quiet crowd. It's easy to do when you are buying. Thanking all those who are going with him to make something new. They were almost there, only one trip left. Sounded like he was trying to encourage tired troops, but they were all ready to go. He talked of Texan as home, knowing he'd be spending a lot of time there. Then he finished with the camp name. "In an old book were pictures of a place where a President would go to rest, and host other leaders. It was called Camp David. This Camp David is no place for politicians or so-called leaders. This is somewhere for those who grind out a living in the new world, and hope to find rest at the end of a long day." |

Gang Leader K-Pick remains at camp, but sent a squad to Tex with some loot, and a message.
"Camp David for Sale" "It was a good start, and still has promise, but after the initial members have moved on to bigger and better things, it's time we do also. Send someone to camp to take a look if interested." Talking to a few at the bar, they hear the camp is set up for HRR and BPU. The camp has low raider activity, it has only been targeted once in 5 months. Plenty of space to grow into whatever the next owner wants to make of it. |
