End the ability of the side with the most players to 'vote' to reduce the turn to 10 seconds. This is a BS way of crippling the side where someone has to run multiple vehicles.

Yea, +1.
I was trying to run 5 in the symph intercept and I would have probably been destroyed by symphs had the vote passed.

I agree that 10 second turns are annoying Jurvis. I do think that changing the time limits is annoying, but I don't see any more fair way to accomplish that than a vote. Maybe you could require 2/3rds to agree instead of half?

Hell, I was having trouble running a symph with 1 driver and 3 weapons on 10 second turns.

Yeah, and if you need to ped it kiss your ass goodbye.  I think the minimum time a turn should be reduced to is 30.  Not sure if this should be for every multiplayer event, but definitely PvP intercepts and the SCL

Agreed, I see no reason for a 10 second turn ever being useful to anyone but an exploiter, I couldn't even get my mouse to respond in 10 seconds. Minimum turn length should be shortened to 30 seconds for all events. The only time you should be able to shorten a turn less than 30 is for solo events.

Agree 15 seconds should be absolute min or 15 sec per vehicle

Concur, there is nothing cheesier than voting a quick turn to get some kind of advantage.

Especially in a "turn based" game.

A few seasons ago this was done in a CoE and when you miss a few turns in a row it would drop connection or something. I forget exactly. But end result, when you came back, your car had been removed from the event for being non-player-controlled. Even if you got back before it "poofed" it would not let you take control of it.

I dont see much use for 10 sec turns. If another player is slowing you down, its just as fun to just cuss at them. I cuss Rude all the time, and Boon a little too. Sitting there yelling at the screen... "GD! Come ON!" And "click! Dammit click click"

It's true, I'm slow. Aside from being relatively new and learning, I also play on a netbook that chugs horribly whenever there are more than a half dozen cars on screen. I wasn't joking when I said I couldn't even get my mouse to respond in 10 seconds! It is therefore normal for me to be the last to click in, even when I have only 2 cars and others are controlling 6. I try to let anyone know I scout with for the first time that this is my situation, so as to avoid people getting annoyed with my super laggy play style. So not my fault. Apologies to any who have experienced this firsthand, I find it just as annoying. Sorry.

I agree, even if it was the mafia that brought this idea up

Yep. Reducing turn time to screw an opponent with multiple vehicles is pretty messed up; this needs to be addressed.

30-second minimum makes sense. The only drawback is its impact on MadMike's(?) always-entertaining "Speed Scout," but I think he'll survive.

With camp wars especially, and in any event really, there needs to be a minimum turn time that cant be voted on. There needs to be a bottom number that this can’t go below. This has happened to me 3 times in the last 2 days, in a camp war, in a town event, and in a pvp encounter. This needs to be rectified. In one event, Sam you were there(although probably half asleep)turn limit changes were spammed repeatedly. Not cool.

Yeah, I noticed that last night.

Yeah, I have noticed it happening quite a bit.

So after a successful vote there should be a gap before a new vote is allowed, of... 15 mins?
And the lower limit that can be proposed should be... 20 secs?

20 seconds yes.  Not really enough time if 4-5 vehicles,  but better than 10.  In a matchup I think you need at least 50% vote on BOTH sides.

In PvP both sides should have to agree.

10 or 15 seconds per car is more reasonable so it scales

Yeah, it's not really great if the side with the most players can dictate the time, both sides should probably have some say in it. Or at the very least a single side should probably not be able to take it straight to the minimum.

How about we do not allow any messing with turn lengths in PvP. The limit is set at the start as usual and let it run. If one player consistently fails to tap in then we should be enquiring if they are ok. If they are deliberately letting the clock run down to grief the opposition then we should address that individual's behaviour post game appropriately.

Personally I don't want either myself or other players to be pressurised in this way during a PvP event even if it is frustrating to wait at the end of a very long match. I certainly don't consider it particularly inclusive or beneficial for accessibility if short turn lengths are a thing.

For the record, on the event Saturday night I voted against every attempt to shorten the turn lengths and for the resulting increases - and even proposed a longer turn length because of these considerations.

You may not agree with me and I would understand that - but a little consideraton for other players' possible personal circumstances would go a long way here to keeping the game more welcoming.

Yes, I agree. The default turn limit is quite conservative and that's more than enough
