Should we be shaping up some peds here in in TX.
*Bastille* Posted May 2, 2013, 1:48 pm |
I don't know what stuff that is Doc is serving there behind the bar, but the local race teams need to stay clear of it.
(paths need some help - please be patient folks, will get to them ASAP - In the meantime, laugh ) |

Now make the TX training facility better than SS so people go there
Thx Bas |

Nice work..... Oh and I dislike the trip to Tx
*Brunwulf* Posted May 2, 2013, 4:00 pm |
Congrats Bastille- the tracks look awesome.
I think that this means it's time for a Evan World Tour League! The only town now that doesn't have a track is Shanty, so Bastilles efforts surely need a new league to make use. A 8 race league on one of each towns tracks. A league for stock cars, and a league for player cars- no limits. If SAM is interested in offering tasty prizes- these new leagues would entice players away from SS and get them moving down south. Just an idea. Cheers Bastille- I for one really appreciate your efforts with new tracks and maps- good stuff- A+ from me |
||||||
*Snipe* Posted May 2, 2013, 6:55 pm |
Awesome - loving the additions Bast. You know I appreciate them and use them as much as possible. Keep em coming.
And I would be game for a general league throughout Evan. These tracks need to be more public. |

We need a grand opening event type thing. Like we had with the other one that I can't remember the name of
*JeeTeeOh* Posted May 2, 2013, 7:39 pm |
Thanks for all your efforts, *Bast*... Congrats on what appears to be a job well done.
Gonna have to ship some guys to TX! |
||||||
*sam* Posted May 2, 2013, 7:41 pm |
good idea, I'll discuss this with Bast! Regarding training camps, I intend to take a look at this, certainly the truck stops need some. |

YAY He remembered my suggestion! I feel spunky.. gotta go kill somthing now.. crap... @ work |

*StCrispin* ce.services.mh@gmail.com Posted May 2, 2013, 8:20 pm |
CoEC CIRCUT OF EVAN COMBAT LEAGUE would be awsome. Hint hint. Or CoECL or ECL... Sponsored by Choke-a-Kola like the skin on the Spirit with a Koke on it?
And TEXICAN PEDESTRIAN LEAGUE! (yes that spelling was intended) And what Brunwulf said. |
||||||
Blackwill Posted May 2, 2013, 8:36 pm |
How about a quadruple threat for the grand opening: Race, Rally, Deathrace, and then a Combat....no switching cars in between....
*Rezeak* reecestensel@hotmail.co.uk Posted May 2, 2013, 8:39 pm |
Love this idea. Although maybe without the rally as it doesn't use the new tracks. |
||||||
*Brunwulf* Posted May 2, 2013, 8:53 pm |
YES! give everyone a week to get something down to Tex, and then a race- deathrace- combat consecutive events on Bastille's new track- sounds like a lot of fun to me! |
||||||
*StCrispin* ce.services.mh@gmail.com Posted May 2, 2013, 9:06 pm |
Other than the no-car switching... If you crash and burn in event 1 you wouldnt get to play the rest.
Maybe just have a mini-league where you get points for each inaugural. And separate them into multiple days or weeks. One issue for inaugurals has always been the time of night they run (usually when im sleeping or when im at work) only one I managed to attend was Texan Rally Track (Bast's 1st TX track). And that was awsome. |
||||||
Blackwill Posted May 2, 2013, 9:51 pm |
I thought one of the tracks was a rally...oh, well, no matter....a triple threat would be fun, as well.
Perhaps there could be two, at prime times for both hemispheres, with the best overall score declared the victor. One event slot per customer (can't run both hemispheres). |
||||||
*Rezeak* reecestensel@hotmail.co.uk Posted May 2, 2013, 9:56 pm |
Personally I'd prefer a single event, the big 20+ participant events are always the best and you only really get that with one off events
*Bastille* Posted May 3, 2013, 1:24 am |
I like the big event idea, they are always ace.
The problem here is that sam asks me when a good time is, and I play when theres 5 other dudes on Its great being part of these events, but I don't mind if I miss out either so that there can be a good time set for the greater player base. about 21:00 seems the best time for these events historically. Thanks for all the comments folks :-) |
||||||
*StCrispin* ce.services.mh@gmail.com Posted May 3, 2013, 2:01 am |
Once again I would be prevented from attending if it was 21:00.
2100 = im at work. So are most Westrn Hemisphere players unless they worked the midnight to sunlight shift. (US times would be 5pm east coast, to 1pm west coast) why not 10:00 server time? Track after track, most of us request a time similar to CoE I. If 16 of us can make CoE I then it seems likely that we could make the Inaugurals at that time as well. |

Lord Foul Posted May 3, 2013, 2:08 am |
Since this thread is about tracks and racing, it would be swell if you checked into why pro events don't give morale, why a bunch of tracks will have no events scheduled for the week or why when a stock event is requested, the same car can come up many times in a row. as in Turbolander, turbolander, turbolander etc..Randomization should be much better than it currently is, some chassis can go many years without being seen on a particular track. AI pathing should also be checked on recently added tracks, (cough FL track) What happened to the Morgan tracks? |

the clouds would open up and the angels would weep for joy, i kid you not. |

I for one will make 300 human sacrifices in the name of Sam all mighty if this happens. |
||||||
Necrotech Posted May 3, 2013, 3:23 am |
Longo's first 100 sacrifices to the Lord of the Skies will most likely be from yours and Crispin's roster.
Blackwill Posted May 3, 2013, 3:32 am |
The Miasma Racetrack is a fun track, if a bit (!!) dimly lit and initially hard to follow. I did manage to turtle my car in the oil pits, but it was a good race up to that point

He has to come out from under that rock first his wrath is always welcom StCrispin isn't challenging enuf ya know this. |

*StCrispin* ce.services.mh@gmail.com Posted May 3, 2013, 4:51 am |
Actually Longo has killed or injured less of my people than you have Neck! Im not sure he's even killed any... Come to think of it... Though I may just be forgetting. I do know that the first player ganger I ever wasted was Longo's some 90 HG that caught a crossbow bolt to the frontal lobes in the 2nd ped combat I ever entered. I didnt even know who anyone was back then. |

*Bastille* Posted May 3, 2013, 10:55 am |
Morale - I've noticed my morale stop increasing too when I do many town events without scouting. One scout and I can max morale. I am of the thinking that after a while doing track events will no longer increase morale. Maybe this is intended? I really don't know, but there seems to be a pattern here. Morgan - I never finished up the arena or other tracks for this area. 3 more were intended for that map. Ive brught up Morgan town teams a few times, but maybe this is not in the vision of morgan, not sure. Paths - Ive made some edits to a few, and a few more Id like to fix. I hear that the teams in some towns are dumber than other towns for some reason only the almighty could explain. |

Vroomhoff Posted May 3, 2013, 12:07 pm |
Two things:
1: Thanks, Bastille! We appreciate your contributions!! 2: If Sam is going to look at track "tuning", I recently played at the SS Super Speedway track with four or five other players in stock cars (alphas, I think). Anyway, NONE of us could keep up with the AI cars. We were all at least a 1/4 lap behind after 2 laps. The AI is just brutal on this track!! |
||||||
*Bastille* Posted May 3, 2013, 12:32 pm |
you have to slipstream on those faster style tracks. Some car tuning helps. And remember how these PnP style games work, One roll could mean lots of things
Lord Foul Posted May 4, 2013, 12:10 am |
While I'm sure Bast and or Sam could confirm, I'm pretty sure this track was setup to challenge racing vets to the fullest. Thus those players that don't normally race will have a difficult time against the AI on this track. The AI and/or pathing is not the norm you would usually see on the other tracks. It's very easy to lose control(and your tyres) on this track with just one tick of the wheel in the wrong direction at high speed. From my experience on that track so far, the AI has not lost control on this track unless there was some source that caused them to lose control, like another car or loss of traction/tyres. They have little issue driving at 200+ mph with no driving skill. So while the player has to deal with driving checks and a lying ghost, the AI drivers, even those with 20 skill are not affected. So you'd have to perform at your best and try to cut in on the track as much as possibe without losing control and slaming into the wall. |

Bast said:
Correct, but that is a separate issue than the morale for pro events issue (I mentioned that one to Sam a few years back, he said he'd look into it but you know how goes sometimes). Doubt either of them are intended, neither of them existed more than 2-3 years ago. They just sneaked in one day after a patch/update, just like earthquakes just started happening one day in scouts a few years back. When many of the major bugs have been fixed in the past, I believe much more smaller annoying ones have crept into the game over the past few years than there used to be. |
||||||
Blackwill Posted May 4, 2013, 5:55 am |
I still get morale boosts from pro events. They are not very large, but I do get them. At least...I am almost certain I do...
|
||||||
*Bastille* Posted May 4, 2013, 8:55 am |
Foul is not stating that he is not getting gains from pro events, but that after a a few events morale no longer rises. So from 170 - 197 there are normal gains and then nothing more.
Blackwill Posted May 4, 2013, 2:05 pm |
Right. Got it. | ||||||
Lord Foul Posted May 11, 2013, 6:09 am |
Bast, I'm actually stating both. I just verified again that Pro events are not giving morale no matter what your current morale is. I verified this 2 or 3 years ago, but like many things gets buried as it's not game breaking. Like I mentioned, many of the bigger bugs were fixed over the years, but at the same time many smaller ones were introduced through patches and updates. |
||||||
*Bastille* Posted May 11, 2013, 7:05 am |
