This patch adds the ability to drag unconscious gangers from your own vehicles. The action has to be done by a ganger on foot outside the vehicle.
It also adds a couple of missing terrain files that will be needed by an upcoming new track and arena by Bastille. And.. I *think* it also fixes the one longstanding gameserver crash bug. This was a rare bug that I had tried but been unable to reproduce in tests, caused a few times a year when peds exit vehicles. It seems to have been related to those peds being unconscious, and triggered a bug deep in the guts of the game engine when a new ped model was created and immediately switched to a new animation (dying) without actually having their default animation set first. Pretty subtle.. and it's great to have finally found it. BTW, I hope I'm not speaking too soon here, but I may also have fixed the sporadic whole-server crashes we have been having. Apparently bugs in the energy saving system which controls fan speeds can sometimes cause some versions of Linux to freeze up. I disabled this feature about 6 weeks ago after the last crash, and the server has been fine since. |

Much obliged, Sam. Thank you.

Did you add new race cars to some of the tracks? I only ask, because I was the first person ever to run a 7L ospery at the Badlands race track. Seems odd to have had a track for so long and not run that race yet.

Awsome! I had this happen 3 times since I resubbed. Im hoping this prevents it from happening to me a 4th time! Thanks Sam! |

This is normal, if you recall in the Alley thread I mentioned to you it can takes years for certain stock cars to spawn, especially on southern tracks that are less used. Sam did not write the code to have it cycle through all the stock cars and many of the same ones will spawn over and over. As you noticed, the stock Osprey is one of the rarest spawns, possibly the rarest. Maybe someday us racer types will have the same freedoms of choice scouting offers. |

goat had a lap record in one of these for a long time iirc

Well Sweet, those crappy times I posted with the Osprey should stand for a while. |

Yeah, it always seemed to happen to the same people, and other people never had it happen at all. Must be related to your play-style: maybe you exit from vehicles with weakened characters more than most people? |

In my cases it was from pulling out enemy gangers. Or in 2 of the 3 cases. I forget what we were doing on the other one. Maybe I spend too much time OUTSIDE my cars rather than IN them... DW: War on Sneakers style! But I agree that it is probably play style. It always happened to me on a Wednsday too... |
