Color changes, designs, graphics and wraps! All created from your requests and listed details of what you want your car or truck to look like. No job too fancy or too difficult and no one is turned away.  <pulls down his shades and looks around>    well... almost no one  . Here is one example, Sam said this was "an ugly truck"! and I had to agree with him. But there really is no such thing as an ugly car or truck...just ugly parts and accessories!  So this is what a trip to the chop shop can do by replacing those ugly parts with custom designed ones! Then off to the paint booth to apply a tri-stage fade wrap! This is just the beginning...everything you see on all the roads in Evan....are gonna be.......... The rims on the vehicle skin files don't work, but if you replace the skin file for the wheels, then you can make the rims show up as anything you design. However this means that all the vehicles sharing the wheel file use your custom rim.

Something like that has been suggested on and off over the years, but as Sam mentioned in his interview, he has many pages of suggestions/code to work on. You could try suggesting it again and see where is goes.

I have finally decided that it is time for the chop shop to be a little creative and start pulling their weight around here. My shop mechanics start digging through the hallowed carcasses of twisted scrap metal. The cutting torches light up the evening sky with sparks flying overhead. Air power tools whistle through the night, then change to the softer released air spurts from their paint guns. Tired and sweaty, the crew opens the front doors and slowly pushes out something...something that has never been seen before...ever! What do you get when you cross an English luxury sports car with a pure American muscle car?!? This is a hybrid that could only be created after the post apocalypse has hit. I now present to you......  the......  Eat....Tee.... Ohhhhhh!!!!

We were getting all Frankenstein-ish in the shop with body panels and parts to come up with the best fit. Originally, I was attempting to make a 66 GTO for Jee by using the the new stormer skin since body styles were very similar. But the skin had to many design issues that distorted the main features of the front clip and tail lights, so I scraped that project and came up with this new idea. Since we seem to have some interest here, I do have a few more tweaks to make before I put it out for production. There will be additional colors available as well. (@ Groove: yes, Red would be a great color, but the skin color you see on the showmodel was made based on Jee's original GTO he had). If you want to get your limited edition ETO, let me know here with your color of choice. If you have any special requests, (designs, stripes, lettering, etc.), send me a PM with a detailed list so I can get started on it for you.

To bad the tyres don't look like that in the game. There's an idea, a skin based off of the car used in the movie.

With head down and bored out of his mind, he paces with little hope. While playing "Kick the Empty Paint Can" around the shop, one bounces and knocks down a stack of more empty cans. "They have obviously forgotten about us!" he says angrily. "It's been over two months since they ran off to play in the Morgan snow and not a word from them since!" Frustrated, Hugh starts to clean up the mess he just made... and sees a pallet behind the fallen can tower. His eyes widen as he gets closer. Reaching for a note attached to the top of the covered pallet, Hugh reads it out loud for the other guys to hear. "Hugh, sorry it's been awhile, but the Boss had us doing important work for him in Morgan. He hopes that this pallet will make up for the oversight. Talk to you soon, Savannah,  P.S. please put your skills to work, the Boss wants one for Morgan ASAP!", Hugh pauses, "Well, it's about damn time!!" He pulls out a rusty box knife and cuts the wrapping. He unveils cases and cases of paint.... and some of Morgan's best Ale!! A huge smile starts to form.... "We got work to do guys... man your stations, then when we finish the request from the Boss, we are gonna put a big dent in this cases of Ale!!! Hours later, the boys are kicking back pounding down the cold ones, admiring their work. Then a voice from the back shouts out, "How we gonna get it to Morgan Mr. Mungo???" Hugh looks over his shoulder, "Hey man, we just paint'em, let the Mayor worry about how to get it there", Hugh lets out a loud burp, "This way, they can bring us more supplies...and more of Morgan's best brew..."

Then a distinct V8 roar from outside perked up their ears as they all ran outside. A gravelly voice shouts out, "Boss man wants your crew to do their thing on this baby!" he tosses a set of keys. "Nooooo problem!! We will have it ready for you by the end of the week!" was the shop's response. "Good, we will radio you ahead when we are about to arrive for pick up", then the man gets into another car and leaves with his entourage following. The little project gets pulled inside and they immediately start working. "Alright men... Asses and elbows is all I want to see till we finish!!" this echos throughout the garage. Air powered tools whistling and dust clouds start forming., Then, 3 days later..... "The Boss is sure gonna have fun with this!!!"
*K1500* Posted Aug 6, 2014, 8:18 pm	Standing outside of The Darkside chop-shop is Rodger "Rodger Rodger" Rodger, of the No Aiming, Just Shooting crew, sporting a new eye-patch thanks to a recent excursion with The Darkside. He laughs at the mechanics scurrying round like ants under the hot noon sun as he slugs back his beer. "Your "boss" almost got the damn thing shot up by a swarm of pick-ups! Luckily that heavy plating job you folks did for us on our BPUs let us soak up most of the fire." He squints at the squad car before slotting a mirrored monocle over his remaining good eye. "Still it's a nice looking piece or work, assuming you have some sort of glare protection and don't mind feeling like you're on some sort of acid trip every time you look at the damn thing!" He bursts into a mixture of a hacking cough and maniacal laughter as he walks back towards the bar.

But killing off a giant rat and wearing it's pelt does not make an outfit or look. Mine are made and customized to your request. Nothing but the finest materials are used in making you look better than anyone else running around on a foot encounter. Well, maybe except for the nuns! You take this before and after shot to see the hand stitched quality. The detail, the accessories... The Look!! And having that "Look", don't come cheap  If you are interested, you know how to get in contact with me. P.S. Yes, I still do vehicles skins!! Winning the event means I still get to keep it, but it was meant to be out running around Evan. So, I am considering making a few of these available and with different colors. And as you all know I'm a cheapskate so I like to get the most for my money (so I'll probably get the 3000 chrome package with +20 slots. Since I won't need that many myself, I am interested in renting them out if anyone wants me to host a skin that they don't have room to store. I haven't bought the slots yet. But I'm wondering if there is any interest in my offer. No clue what fair rental price for hosting is.

*The X Man* Posted Sep 26, 2015, 7:02 pm	Almost a year since I've been in this place...and nothing but thick layers dust and cobwebs in this old chop shop. I need to fix a few things where some display work has been destroyed. The earlier posts may still have a few missing photos, but I am slowly recovering them. In the meantime, I did find one that never got posted. I'll just hang it here... as the shop starts to get cleaned up, I just might have to start slinging some paint around here again!

I would like to brainstorm and drum up some ideas with you. My first thoughts are bright red, gold and green. An image or images of a joker/jester from whatever source (cards, comics, animation, etc.) would be the theme. Rims of course. License plate reading "Last Laugh." *The X Man* Posted Jan 15, 2016, 8:09 am	Well, I have been forced to use my original computer that I first started playing DW on. Doing so has allowed me to uncover some incomplete projects. OCD said I had to finish them! A couple days worth of adjustments and detailing... I finally have a finished, all terrain prototype. The only one of its kind resides in Morgan. It will be determined later, after a skin slot inventory has been conducted, if this will be made available to the public.

*The X Man* Posted Nov 20, 2017, 2:46 am	It took all weekend, but I had to find an alternate way to post photos here in the forums. Photobucket is no longer free and I don't want to pay after years of having their advertised free service. I was able to recover about 95% of my work and reposted them over these 7 pages. Life lately has made it difficult to do events, even short races, but I still try to keep the gang active. But it is easier to do skin work because taking a break or having "little one" interruptions will not affect game play, especially if other players are involved. So, I will dust off the spray equipment once again and start offering custom skins. This will also give me some time to work on some "unfinished projects" that I uncovered today
