Morgan Defense, Let others know you will defend

Lord Foul

Might as well start this off to so there's better communication on if/when players will be around to defend Morgan from each wave.

It may be a good idea to let your comrades located in Morgan know if you will be able to attend any of the 3 waves each week.

Something like,

I'll be there to defend against the 2300 server wave this weekend etc.

Fresh meat of Gesta Non Verba, Patrick Doe, stumbles into the bar. Noticeably shivering. Whether from the cold or from fear is unknown.

''Boss says we gotta 'defend the town' at 12:00 and 20:00. I dun' think we have the firepower for that sorta thing but he told us 'unless you're dead that excuse ain't good enough' so I guess we'll be seeing some of you guys out there''

what, we're under attack. And here I was thinking this was a friendly place. {Alan throws snow ball}

Too bloody cold. {Eric ducks} We ain't got much in town, just  Retro, but managed to get a Flame thrower for replacement on the bashed in Machine guns, we just have to do our best. {returns fire} Can't have those crazies pillaging the town.

we can make the first wave 05-19 12:00 and if the car lives through that, the third wave 05-20 04:00 as for the second wave, we got no chance at making ... {*BOFF*}

Barboza looked around the room and laughed "Let me get this straight, you folks introduce yourselves to the wider world, and just coincidentally get attacked by three waves of raiders at the same time."
The people in the tavern glared back at Barboza angrily.
Barboza then stated, "Your town, your problem. We're out of here at dawn, what part of mercenary do you not understand?"

Willard McMillan sits at an empty table set against the wall. "What the heck are all these people talking about? We have to fight stuff here? I thought I won a vacation or something......."

He looks at the still almost full beer on his table - shrugs and downs it. "Nobody tells me nuthin" he whines as he ambles out the door.

(OOC - where is the defense info posted? cant find it anywhere)

Can I add to the defense squad perhaps? You may have to wait for spawn counter, but then you can have backup.

Not sure if that works with these events

"Executioner" Mack Bolan limps ungracefully into the lodge to warm himself near the ornate fireplace. He is grunting his satisfaction when he hears the words "pirate attack"

"I spent the past year fighting in the dust as an Infantry Commando, first in Somerset, then Gateway." He Growls. "Then I fought as a Gladiator in Firelight. I came here to get AWAY from all that carp! Now you're saying we got a fight coming our way... way up here?"

"Well," he grunts, "Im gonna need a crew. Any locals want to join SSE?

Having always been a ladies man, Bolan soon recruits 2 charming sisters. Bunny and Nikki Snow.

Her friend snickers behind her chapped hand "raiders willy raiders you sleped through the whole thing one of them took a liking to you white pho and made off with it so you may as well have a cup of tea and fined a hobby"

Ahh, you ain't the only one to lose out. We lost a good bit of gear, a bucc, a flash.. .they loved out rocket launchers and RL ammo, gunna be watchin' 'em in the future. I went for a wonder out past the race yard yesterday, that old derelict ski town. I saw some snow patrol collecting junk, pretty sure they had our Bucc too. Seems they are preparing for another attack on the town come the end of the month.

We'll be standing up for the town folk again.

I won't be able to make this now. yay, lose another car today :(

"Mega" Matthew Johnson strides over to his fellow 'Roses, still scared from last months pirate attack.

"Kevin was disappointed in your failure to defend the town, so he's sent me over with a new Windsor to make sure it doesn't happen again, be ready for the first wave."

a drunken mob of Scavengers are passed out in Morgan Tavern. The Red Skull had been mixing some nasty rocket fuel.

"Wake up you lot, another raid coming in tonight. You get that car round to the mechanic Carcass?"

"Car?"

"Oh noes"

{nothing will be ready on my end, can't help out}

This is how it is done, alone in an apache with a HMG/RL (2RL) reloads and (1HMG) reload with average cross trained gunners.

Add in a 40 mph Large Bear near the end that only wanted to attack me to top it off. It appears the pirates will do anything to win and bring their pet bears with them to the battle.

EDIT: That damn bridge is not real..Grrr

Chrome Religion will be establishing an outreach program in Morgan as soon as (if) our transport arrives from its conversion mission in Firelight. We hope to bring a small delivery of ammunition and other good will offerings to assist in town defense. HMG, MML, and standard MG ammunition, as well as various hand weapons and ammo. It isn't much, but it may help.

Our re-supply mission was intercepted by Superheat on the road. 5 BPUs against our solo pickup. Nearly cleared it, until a re-spawn appeared right on our nose.

Next time, we wont be going solo....

Post-Nippon airways is starting up a route to Morgan, supplies at first. Asking residents what would be the most immediate needs to help with town defense...

always looking to pick up some new moves, the sunset samurai attempted to view a famous previous battle on the old vcr in the back room of the inn, only to find a huge bear mouth shaped bite mark where the left half of the tape should have been..

(ooc is there a date limit on replays?)

I believe if no one views the event, it disappears for good after a week or two. I should have viewed it a few times to keep it from fading away, guess no one at the time was interested in seeing a lone player successfully defend Morgan or learn how to do so.

To be fair, it's not the solo events that are an issue; it's when you get other people adding CR without pulling their weight.

"Let Morgan rot," says one of the few remaining Cannons. "You can keep my mukluks, and my fuzzy cap, and whatever else ya might find in the lockup. We're outta here."
