Another new racetrack, courtesy of Bastille..  :cyclops:
It's in Somerset, and is quite 'offroady' (i.e. bumpy)

Rougher than a taxi ride with the Dune Peddlers, fun though.

This is a very tough track... There are a few spots that are very uneven, whether it was intended or not. I still think it's a nice addition.

There's room for *some* rough tracks like this, but they'll take a lot of practice to get good at. That's a good thing, in moderation. Hopefully we can get some nice smooth ones too :cyclops:

I don't have a problem with this track being so rough. My only concern is that it's in Somerset, so new players might have a very hard time with it.

I remember when I started out I was finishing last consitently on much smoother tracks.

Thanks sam  :)

yes, this one is a bit rough. Some smooth fast bits too I hope, but again, Id think soft suspension the go here.

Best go check it out  B)

maybe not a good time to show you ...

It has some smooth sections (the bowl is done point by point, trying to taper a huge banking curve. Very hard to do. Thats taken some patience. The rest of the track still needs some smoothing. Cars can handle some pretty rough stuff and go fast (junkyard tracks) Hopefully in this bowl, they can go... real fast. Im hoping. The turn at the bottom may be too sharp.

I've always loved the 'moguls' section of Elmsfield Dry lake track, that bit after the bridge. Good to see some more challenges like this.

Dunes...? Duuunes??? DUNES!!!!

Actually... sand dunes are very loose and well, I would be sad if it's a hard and to bumpy track, that would not be dunes

Exactly. Not to minimize Bast's efforts here, but an in-town track ought to be somewhat markedly more "domesticated," as opposed to a selection of rugged wilderness with a start/finish line.

EDIT: Mebbe I'll try my hand at this and put together my figure-8 track....

I have made one, but its all bumpy :) (see, tracks you would like to see, thread for pics. two stunt jumps)

I could make this track faster (smoother) buts its turned out rather as intended. The main shortcut is a little tricky to drive fast, which is kinda good. Hopefully some good death racing here. It was actually much smoother, but then decided it could be rougher hehe. 140 mph is still possible here in a fast muscle, maybe more, not sure.

Dunes. yes, could be miss leading I guess.

Did people want this smoother? (again, the bumps are actually thought out quite deliberately)

Its easily done

I raced this a few times today and I think it's keen just as it is.

a couple of spots im wondering if should be harder, slower to take.

Nice add of the two barriers :)

Barriers will be a real killer :)

Just tried the Dunes for first time, love it. Very deceptive - looks easy but it's not.

That was mostly to make the route more obvious

Could Death races at the Dunes be increased to two laps?

I think this could add to the fun of these a bit. Give a chance to shoot some guys, and make up time on lap 2 using some of the shotcuts.

Just as long as it's not four laps in a carrier van.  :cyclops:
