The latest patch adds 4 new racetracks. Many thanks to Vikking of course!, and also Joer and some guy called Sam who collaborated with vikk on 2 of the tracks.
Gateway has its first two racetracks: The Trench is a fast, technical course with several chicanes and other tricky bits: Gateway Dry Lake track is a long, open dirt track peppered with concrete bollards: The other 2 new tracks are in Elmsfield: Elmsfield Lake Track is a wide primarily concrete track, good for flat-out racing: Elmsfield Hills Rally Track is a difficult mountain track, although it has a decent surface. Plenty of cliff edges to accidently nudge your opponents towards.. |

I've preemptively come up with a list of names we can call this track after we lose all our drivers on it in horrible grisly wrecks: The Widowmaker The Skull Liquifier The Para-ma-lyzer Spine Injury City everybody, feel free to make amendments and additions to the list (but not badge) |

Cool! When can we expect these tracks to show up in events?

They won't show up in the 'major league' events, since those are all in Somerset only.
They will start to turn up in pro events next week. I'm just creating two new short leagues starting later this week, so these will be the first time they turn up. |

Ok.
I really like the oil-field design on the Elmsfield Lake Track. |

OK, the Elmsfield Autumn Classic and Gateway Autumn Meltdown leagues have been created.
The Elmsfield one is races only, with races at 2am server time Thursdays and Saturdays. The Gateway one is deathraces only, with events on at 9pm server time Wednesdays and Fridays. Both leagues run for 2 weeks only, but you retain all points from all races - i.e. all 4 races. This is an experimental league type, which we can change to something different next season if it doesn't work out well. The idea is that you won't be able to 'hide' from other human competitors so it should lead for better competition. |

I like the track with obstacles in it!

I just tried 3 of these tracks and they're all great, The Trench is my new favourite and with Elmsfield Hills in close second, I really like the scenery on the Trench and the Elmsfield Lake track even though it's a bit too long in my opinion it'll probably be more interesting with more opponents though when there's more close drafting and battling going on as opposed to a 1v1.
The scenery on Elmsfield Hills scares me too much to even look at the many ways my drivers could get maimed there (luckily Elmsfield has a good hospital!) I haven't tried the other gateway track yet, but it looks dangerous with those pylons in the middle... |

Thanks for the kind comments.
Elmsfield Lake Track is built on Sam layout, most of my job was to modify some textures, place all those nice little edges (how many are they BTW?), by hand (yes!). The Trench, an original track by Joer, I'm very happy with the nice lighting and scenery touch I have added. Both others are my own. And, yes those concrete pylons are out from my *gentle* (!!!) mind. |

Awesome! I'm going to have to get more of my gunners killed now so I can recruit drivers.
so you're best bet is to race as much as possible right? |
