This re-patches the new weapon models so that they mount properly with bullets coming from their barrels rather than their bases. Some of the rusty textures have also been replaced with more 'neutral' ones.

Thanks, it looked super weird to have a freshly painted Turin with a rusty HCR. |

This one shows the tank guns coming out sides on the fire engine and how it scales to nearly twice the size on a trash truck...

The trashtruck weapons are actually 1.38x the size of the fireengine ones, currently (in each dimension). Should they be reduced generally? (basically every 'accessory' on a vehicle - bumpers, weapons, spikes etc. - is scaled according to a chassis-specific scaling factor) |
||||||||
*Tinker* Posted Dec 8, 2011, 10:36 am |
Be better if they were all the same size on all cars IMO...
But if you set the trash truck's and FE's guns to scale to 1 would they be the same size on both chassis? edit: i've noticed that the guns are scaled really small on the osprey and siren, any chance to make them 100% too? |
||||||||
*sam* Posted Dec 8, 2011, 10:42 am |
It's not just guns, Tink.. it's spikes and bumpers too, which definitely do need to be scaled per-chassis
*Bastille* Posted Dec 8, 2011, 11:01 am |
Is it then the same figure across all accessories?
TGs look great in the back of a TT... even adds some wheel arches.... see if I can.. hang on.. ahh... here we go Other guns look kickin on this thing in the big size, but then Ive got nothing againts madonnas cones |
||||||||
*sam* Posted Dec 8, 2011, 11:26 am |
Hmm those guns on the TT are a bit too widely spaced, however I'm scared to mess with that model after all the trouble it gave first time around. I'm currently resizing other chassis and moving the gun mount points.

I thought the way MM's were mounted on the rear of my tanker was great by the way. i thought it would be a difficult chassis to do?

The rear is ok I think on the TT. Sticking out the sides on the back looks reasonable, especially with the standard skin. Any weapon mount will most likely be visible under the rear of the truck no matter of size or position, and as mentioned I think it actually adds something to the rear of my truck. Serenity on the other hand, the Tank Guns do look a bit too big.. they actually seem to look bigger on the front than the back, is this just an illusion? |
