I just wanted to spread word about an act of extreme douchebaggery I witnessed last night.
It was an event for the Ped Combat League - the two human particapants were Naite (Piglets of Fate) and Joel's Bastards. Joel had 150 skill handgunners, so he was rocking the even which is unsurprising. However he seemed to have connectivity issues and was timing out repeatedly. Naite (against my advice) used multiple timeouts of his own until Joel got a stable connection. Naite easily could have killed off Joel's unresponsive gangers, but didn't. How did Joel repay this honorable and generous action? Did he give Naite the option to resign with 2nd place? Nope. He killed off Naite's gangers. I'm not say he griefed, I'm just pointing out his extreme lack of class. [DELETED BY SAM: UNNECESSARILY ABUSIVE AND SLANDEROUS] Added Response: - Its not slander or unfounded - its the truth. Also, I am told to shut up and not post complaints in the forums? Where the hell else would I post this? You claim that the community with handle negative actions of players, but not if they don't hear about it. I understand why only many people have opted to ignore the forums altogether. |

It was a pedestrian combat event, what did you expect? him to NOT shoot at you? Naite played nice, that's all good, but the real question here is... Did he kill his characters before or after they got knocked unconscious? Because if they were still up, they could still shoot him, meaning he has all the right in the world to shoot them. And if Naite really wanted to resign with second place, he should have hit the "Surrender" button and tell joel that, and get the heck out of his firing line, I know joel, he'll kill you in a flash if you wrong him but he wont kill you for no reason. |

I would have loved for him to resign. That event ran to like 150 turns!
I was slightly ticked he burned 11 turns as I arrived a couple mins late(yes my fault I can't complain.), then he did call some TOs for me (very nice thanks). I had some connect issues and also a real life emerg. I got a points advantage and actually would have resigned myself if Piglets managed to shoot the rest of my team, I still would have had more points if he got the 1.5 bonus. But one of the stupid NPCs fell in the pit. I knew I'd have to burn through 180 turns (I sure as hell wasn't going to charge him with a massive point advantage). I managed to KO one of his open guys and the other two were entrenched in cover in the bunker. So I started burning turns and so did he. Then he came out of the bunker, he had managed to shoot some more npcs and get more points , so I actually had to eliminate his team. Perhaps he didn't know that he could right click and resign his team and the event would end, as the npcs on his team were all on the ground lying still? I found Piglets a very good opponent and this post is merely to defend myself from Hogfather's slander. I've got to defend him, too. Joel will do what it takes to win and never more... unless he's been wronged.
Where's Naite in this? Seems we're missing the actual "victim." |

Hogfather, surely if the player in question has a problem it is down to him to post here and not you.
also please try and be aware there is a TOS here and attcking players by name and being abusive is frowned upon if a moderator is to see your post i am sure they would delete or lock it Please try and not bring this kind of topic into the forum, if you have a problem take it up with the player in PM |

I usually only nickname gangers after special "events", In his case I named 3 mechs after American Chopper guys, when they were training in Sars for camp duty. Paul couldn't even do that properly. |

You can beat high end HGers with new hires. I do it every year. Those 3 guys were screaming for Joel the last match of the GW league last year. He just outpointed me for the league win, but he very easily could have lost 1 or 2 of those guys to my new hires.
Ive never seen Joel not honor a resignation. You Hogs/Pigs gotta realize that the Ped league is ruthless. Expect to die. If you shoot an unconscious guy and kill him, thats one thing. But dont expect anyone to "give" you second. I wont, unless you ask me and their is no chance that you can beat me. |

Seeing as Naite and Hogfather are either close RL friends or related (I can't recall which) it isn't such a far fetched thing for the one to speak on behalf of the other. |

How else would the community respond to an instance of griefing? I'm not saying Joel was griefing in this case---I'm not talking a side on this one, not having seen the replay. I'm asking because I've seen repeated statements that PvP griefers would be 'dealt with' by the community. How else would a person who feels wronged engage the community than to bring their dispute to the forums? |

The key point here, in a ped arena combat, is: did Joel shoot any characters who were already unconscious? If he did, this may need investigating. If he didn't, Hog is wasting all our time here. | ||||
