Moray builds, Moray builds

I find that I quite like the acceleration and handling of a Moray 3.2Lv8 but cant quite settle on weapons. I tried 2 x MML with 7 spare reloads (driver, gunner) but didnt have enough punch, works in GW when you raining down rockets from a cliff but now where else it seems.

Any thoughts, what do others use?

i have rum most of the muscel shasys every whare up to badlands and find that mmg/gat give the best sustainable versatile fire power,

it can strip the flank armour of most other mussels in 2/3 turns the gat is also good for chopping up the meat inside if you want to take the loot home

No problems with recoil on that load?

migt be a minor problem if yer stationery, but i don't generally have any difficulty's.
i have squeased twin mmg in to muscles before now and thow effective yer jump all over :-)

All of my Morays have MMG/MG for loadouts.

Took me a bit to figure out what was the "perfect" load for *me*.

Gats work OK too, I just like more punch, hence the MG.

i think the Gat gives more flexibility, jenraly my driver will be on the gat(he hoping to spec death race some time this century) so i have to be relatively close before i open up with it any how.

once i get a breach on the loot i can turn of the MMG and winkel out the squishy contence without chewing up the engin.

i did experiment with RL/MML or MML/MML but found the constant reloading was a magor pain in the ass, especially with no reload in motion spec

keep toying with the idea of sticking heavy gat in my flail/ofsprays at some point butyet to give it a go

MMG/MG, or MMG/MML.

i really like the CR/GG combo

you strip them of armour and the CR knocks out crew fast.

I really like CR/MG for my Morays.

cr/mml for chasing runners
with a v8 you have room for one reload for each, driver and gunner

Hmmm....never tried a CR in a Moray....
Gonna have to give that a try!

I generally do strafing runs at high speed in my morays. Because of that you only get a few shots on each approach before you've blown past your target and are picking up the next or spinning around for another run.

I find the CR's range let's me get in another shot or two during the approach by starting to fire from farther away.

whats it called when you come in like a strafing run but then hammer the steering round so are traveling sideways at 80mph while drilling there flank and you end up circuling them in a big arching drift of death?

that's my favorite thing :-)

its a thing of buttey, a ballet of dust and bullets

I must say, Johnny, sometimes your posts are hard to read, but then a gem like this makes it all worthwhile.

Yeah, I love the CR/GG-MG muscle car combo. Typically I put a nice deathracer with good gunnery in on the CR and a recruit on the GG/MG.

Good times. Works nicely in SS.

You can do it with a merc too... in that case, you can be blasting away with a pair of HMGs instead...

But, you have to get USED to the merc for that to work.

Yeah that's the most fun way, when the terrain and placement of other vehicles allows it.

My fave Moray build happened by accident. Was just building an "attitude" car for Pancho Villa, my leader. So it got a 3.2v8, MMG, and a VSG to add a little grit.

Man, there's nuthin' quite like breachin' em with the MMG and then pullin' the trigger on that scattergun. BOOM! Arm lost. BOOM! Pelvis shattered. BOOM! Cleanin' brains off the dash after we get it home.

Attitude, indeed.

I'm still partial to the Flails.... throw a 5lv8 in there and she flys. A great strafing car that I've also gotten to drift/fire at high speed. Right now I'm loading out a rl/mml load, the 5 extra shots on the mml means I can usually sustain it. The rl takes the armor off and the mml grinds up the crew. A little splash damage and very little recoil is also great.

But the Moray is a great car too, I just wish it could use the 5lv8 unexposed...

I find the flail can lock into a slide that takes too many turns to get out of. But I do like the space it has and its toughness.

It can indeed.
In fact, if you throw one in, it's a RIDICULOUS travel vehicle.
