This is a lucky-bag of bits and pieces:

* Fixed the sideways-wheels in the lobby preview for certain vehicles. (Let me know if I have missed any please).
* Changed ?event about to start? alert so it?s only sent to squad members who actually have a vehicle in the event
* You now get a reduction in stress based on how far you are from the nearest enemy. You must be at least 50m away for this to take effect.
* Small amounts of collision damage no longer cause stress.
* F7 (which displays race position if you?re in a race) now displays distance to nearest enemy if you?re in a wilderness combat
* you can find 'car parts' as salvage from cars you cannot drive back from a wilderness rumble. The amount you get is based on the squad?s mechanic skill
* If you exit a game and have AI take control, it will only do so for 30 moves. After that, your cars will resign/surrender.
* F9 toggles gangname/username in the ingame list (the list at the top right)
* Also, another new chassis is now in-game. Thanks deathangel!

It's called the 'sonic'. A Marley-like car...

Oooo neat stuff.  Thanks!  Heh those new chassis are sure interesting.  Anyways, as regards to the AI control...does the "run away" still function?  I don't know if I would want my scouts to surrender if I disconnect and I can't reconnect in the 30 turns.  Just curious if this is global, or for just races.

Christmas in August!............NICE additions Sam.

Thanks!

I like the F9 addition......I feel bad calling someone by their gang name instead of their screen name.......
I like being called JD not GEAR!

It's actually global. I can make it just for races if that would be better?

Yeah, if we get dropped due to a bad connection, I'd hate to think my guys woudn't fight till their last drop of blood at least. Even worse if we were winning and everyone surrendered :p

Aye, fair enough. I'll change it so it's just for races/deathraces.

The Sonic is probably my favorite-looking compact car (that's the right term, right?) so far. But I'm jonesing for a Mercenary. I like my four door medium-sized cars best. :)

This addition rocks... one minor tweak request, though.  Could you make it so that the distance shown on the enemy cars is distance to the currently selected car rather than distance from nearest?  I like distance from nearest on our own cars, it's nice to see escape distance right there.  However, on the enemy my primary use for it is as a rangefinder.

Question: You keep gaining stress in a battle when nothing is going on, but enemies are near?

I was trying to turn my car over and my gang members freaked out. Should I have walked outside of 50m to mellow and then come back?

S608883 don't laugh too much. First time in maze and got a little confused.

Edit: I mean technically it says I won. Haha.
Edit2: Wish I had a barrel of grenades. That would have been fun.

If your car is stationary, yes.
This was added mostly to stop stalemates where everyone was out of ammo with destroyed engines yet no-one could win! One event was left running all night before I closed it..

Being on foot tends to increase stress, so you need to be careful

Ok. Was just curious. If I had walked up the ridge to the top, would stress levels have gone back down if I had gotten about 100 m away. They were not going to get me with cars, so unless they got out and came on foot, they wouldn't have gotten closer.

Anytime you get further away from the enemy, on foot or in a vehicle, your stress level will decrease.

If you have an empty car and a ped out they some times will vanish when AI cars pass farther than 150M

Enemy cars vanish or your car vanishes?

your Peds vanish (they "escape" basically... against your will)

lost a mint a armor v8 hotrod once down south, was in a place the ai could not get to or shoot me, so i got out and started shooting at them to get hg practice, was yellow most of the time which did not concern me, went red when reloading but the minute i was totally out of ammo, before i could get back in the car, ped demoed and i lost the car. just fyi, a lot of factors go into stress...
