'Camp Mech' Clara Blackwell, one of the mechanic grunts at 'The Vault', a camp near Texan pins a notice onto the board at the tavern. It reads:

"Dear members,

We here at The Vault like to consider ourselves a fairly relaxed bunch of chaps. However, it has recently come to our attention that many of our members seem to be cluttering up our establishment with being beneficial to our aims and objectives. For this reason, we are imposing the following: If you have not been seen to make a beneficial contribution in the next two weeks, you will be removed. This contribution can be in mechanic points, playing for The Vault in the PvP leagues or donating resources for the camp. Please come see either me or my colleague *Wolfsbane* if you have any queries.

In short. Help the camp, or the camp won't help you."

"Exactly! And have you seen that place?! We don't wanna end up like that ;)"

'Camp Mech' Clara Blackwell notes the chorus of "Ooooh"s as she sips up her drink.

Eugene Moline's nerves were still shot from pathfinding the Hessian's first visit to Texan - 4 ambushes, the last one taking fire all the way through the city's gates. The big mutie stumbled into the Tombstone, looking to calm his nerves. With trepidation, he looked at the notice.

He thought about not reporting it to HQ, thinking it probably wouldn't matter if the Hessians got kicked out of the Vault. Then the bartender called him over to the radio. It was HQ. The voice was laughing: "Get your ass to Vault City, they need a water chip or something!" That was XO Pierce at HQ, no doubt flying high on Zerk or three sheets to the wind. Molina cursed his misfortune and prepared to run the gaultlet again.

As he left,he plunked a token into the jukebox. The Ink Spots "I don't want to set the world on fire" played ironically as he started his engine.

Louis 'Dewnz' Hernandez, Monica 'Curse' Curcio and Guy 'Montage' Lamontagne sat around playing gin wondering what all the fuss was about. They were mechanics and couldn't read.

Moline's radio crackled as he approached the Vault for the first time. "Identify yourself or be shot, comrade." Said the voice.
The big mutie started to sweat, hadn't his XO called ahead and told them he was coming? He figured she'd probably been high on Zerk when she told him to make this delivery and promptly forgot.
"Um, I'm with the Hessians, you just let us join last week and I'm making the delivery you demanded."
The voice paused.
"What is the password?"
Moline started to sweat some more.
Finally the voice laughed. "There is no password, welcome to worker's paradise, I'll have a jumpsuit ordered for you, we've been watching you for the last 15 minutes. Thank you for assisting the struggle of the proletariat."
Moline didn't have any idea what this crazy s*#@ was, but he'd learned one key survival skill in the wastes: "I'm for whatever you're for, buddy, just don't shoot me."
