Ok I asked in the lobby, but I'd like more opinions.
1/ Do reinforced rams also decrease the damage your own car takes in a collision? Or do they simply increase the damage dealt to the opponent's car? 3/ Reinforced rams seem vastly superior to me. In which cases are regular rams or spikes a better choice? |

1. No. Yes.
3. Rams if you don't have the space or weight for a Re-Ram, or just want some extra armor. Spikes....if you plan on running down a bunch of peds, I guess? Or want some extra armor. |

1) No, I don't think so, my ramming squad regularly takes damage, I have to replace smokescreens and repair the engines in them quite regularly.
Use Rollcages to reduce damage taken, but be prepared to repair your vehicles regularly, even my buzzer can take some damage in bigger rams. 3) No, never, if you are going to ram something, spikes or the mounted ram will probably get shot off before you even collide, they can be used like marr says, but don't rely on them for any actual ramming. If you see me in the lobby, give me a shout and I'll take you along in my "Heavy Cavalry" squad, it's an SS based 3 apache 1 buzzer ramming squad, it works quite well. |

Rams cause extra damage based on your speed and mass
Spikes cause extra damage based on your speed So smaller, faster cars are more effective with spikes while bigger vehicles are more effective with rams, in general |

Ahh, More speed! I've been trying to use spikes at slow speed, to use them to tear sides open. |

While rams might be nice, you know, they break with 1 bullet or so, you'll never really get to hit a target with them.
Time to ask for "Reinforced Spikes" again? ![]() |

Depends what you want them for. I agree re-rams are best on dedicated ram vehicles, but I've stuck mounted rams on rear gunned cars to get me out of ambushes before, and they work pretty well for that. |

double rerams slow most cars down too much ![]() so put a HFT in with the reram instead ![]() with a truck the extra weight of the second reram doesnt matter so much...but you dont need it |
