The 'vacation mode' feature that was discussed recently is now available from your gang's 'Edit Settings' area.

You rock, man! Any specific details on it's functioning? For example, if I go into vacation in the middle of the week, does that cost me the entire week's gains (and eliminate the entire week's expenses), or is it pro-rated?

Also, does checking the box automatically submit the status update, or is one of the update buttons associated with it? I'm thinking that since it limits us to just one "Vacation Away" set every 3 weeks that it might be good to require confirmation (if it doesn't already - I wasn't willing to actually click it) so that somebody doesn't accidentally use up their Vacation mode. Perhaps either a pop up dialog that alerts the user to the time frame issue, or an update button for that checkbox.

It functions in a very simple way: the Friday update, which consists of training and food costs, is skipped for your gang. You don't lose anything from earlier in the week (this allows you to 'go on vacation' the day before you really leave, for example, and not lose gameplay from earlier in the week). The 3-week limit was necessary in order to stop the feature being abused (you could have been not on vacation at all, and playing as normal, but setting your gang to 'on vacation' mode every thursday in order to skip the costs).

Yeah, I'll put a confirmation in.

In other words, the WHERE clause on the Friday updates have had "AND VACATION = 0" added to them. Cool, thanks!
