Taxi clients disappeared

I have a taxi mission to take 3 people from Elms to BL. I got them as far as GW and my scout lost the car. The footsquad encounter had my scout alone shooting rats; he survived and made it back to GW but the people in the car did not show up in the encounter. The "My Missions" screen now shows the 2 taxi clients that were in the car with him as being in Gateway, but when I try to look for them on the drop-down list of people to load into a car, they do not appear. I can complete the mission if I could load them into a different car, but I can't seem to find them at GW. Is this a bug? Or are they considered to have died when I lost the vehicle they were in....

did you try assigning a driver to a car before looking for them?

Yes, I have a (different) driver in the car, waiting for his passengers to show up... when I click on the pull-down list of potential passengers, I see the other gangers of mine in GW, but not the taxi client npcs as options for me to add.

in your missions tab you can find the location (city) of the taxi clients.

Yes and in the missions tab that screen tells me these taxi clients are in GW.  However when I go to the car sitting in Gateway, and open the pull-down menu to load someone into the car, the taxi clients are not there.

If Taxi clients have to walk for any portion of their journey they cease to be your clients.

My guess would be they still show up in your Missions area, the same way a lost Courier package/mission does, until the mission time expires.

Guess they didn't like my customer service.  :p

Pansies... a little walk once in a while is good for them.

The annoying thing is, I had three people in the car, from two different taxi missions.  One mission was for three people, the other was for four.  Now I'm screwed on both missions because I can't deliver everyone.

IMHO we should get partial payment if we only get some people to the destination.

Sometimes I use dispossessed Escort people (lost their car but survived) drive my loot cars to the destination. Cars stay in my possession and they disappear once we get there.
