Make Mini Leagues on weekends like the SS Winter Warmup is, 10-12+ players each event so far.

It's obvious there is way more players for this, I care not to argue it anymore, go ahead and look at past years and you can see the turnout is massive for weekend only events.

There is many leagues that play nice to most timezones. These league require players to show up to each of 4 events and it's best for the majority that these run on the weekends. EVEN SAM PLAYS IN THESE! Nuff said.

This weekends races have been incredibly fun. Maybe some time we can do an experiment with one of the major leagues having a very limited number of events, and those only on the weekend?

This weekend was the weekend that I fell in love with the mini leagues.

Yeah, we could try packing quite a few all in one weekend?

I think it's worth switching up, but maybe the major leagues could sometimes run like four or six week mini-leagues - no bonuses for extra people in the events. Do four events each weekend, allow only one entry per day, but add together the scores from both events.

I'm not saying do that for every league every time, but why not switch it up now and then? Variety is the spice of life, right?

Well I'm up for having a whole league of about 20 races all packed into one day!

...then again, some people who play this game might actually have lives... :(

It's not just the day, but the timezone as well. They should be spread out to attract players from different timezones so everyone can be involved, not just those who play within a specific timezone.

Like one Event every 8 hours, not an event each day over a week around the same time each day.

nope can't with minileagues - but maybe some of them should be UK friendly times, NA Friendly times and even Aussie friendly times(just one).

But ... ALL ON THE WEEKEND.

Yeah timezone's are a pain. Having to show up at 4am just to race is annoying. :stare:

Though I suppose it does mean you don't have to put up with me kicking your ass since even if I do show up I'm half asleep, eh Joel? :cyclops:

Well see on a weekend I don't mind staying up late to kick your ass ;)

It's hard to know what would be the best rules for this league..

The Northern Semi-Pro gives you your best score for the week, and you can enter as many events as you like. I'm not sure that would work well as we'd have everyone tied for the top.

If there's lots of events at different times we don't want to simply give points for all events (the way the mini-leagues currently work), as that basically means whoever can play 24/7 will win.

My best suggestion is that we run two or three separate leagues like this, to fit different time-zones. Let's say 3 races Saturday, 3 races Sunday in each time zone??

I really like this idea. There's no doubt I have more time for DW during the weekend. We can only hope to see the 10-12 player races Joel describes: the few times I've taken part in those, I've had a blast!

The mass member ( no pun intended ) races are excellent, anything that can be done to increase the amount we have, can only be a good thing

...and professional deathraces!

...a professional deathrace league with one fixed car size for all the events (like 4 events with 5L and 75<cr<100, and then another league with another set of rules)

...pretty please?

How about weekend mini leagues with 4 races per day, where scores from (say) your best 4 events count? Should get plenty of players, is fair to all time zones, and means Rez can get a small advantage from being the crazy obsessive he is :)

...small wtcc like championship?

one day, four race on four different tracks, you register at start choosing betwen 4/5 different cars and you keep that car for each subsequent event? with cars created each with the same engine and armor adjusted so that they all weight the same?

/me hides under a rock, again.

Rather than adding more leagues, I'd like to see semi-professional events using stock cars that are like one event mini-leagues spontaneously created several times a week, with an increase in cash prize and a 50% bonus to training received in the event.

Surely that'd get a fair few people interested.

I think that SEREPHES idea is the best-- easily accessible to all and always worth being a part of.

It could wind up being a blast actually, considering the incentives I doubt these events would be the one PC affairs that regular events usually prove to be.

Serephe's Idea is a good one but the point of this is to have any single event leagues(where the event must be attended) on the weekend.

Or not - Vote.

This.

My post was just directed at Sam offering to make more leagues for the other timezones.

That said, I actually like how they're spread out now better than if they were all on a weekend.

Nice to have them during the week, but some time other than 5 or 6 am for me would be nice. Even a morning and evening event rather than just the one time for all events for that league.
