If several mines blow up near eachother, the damage does not stack, why should 5 mines near eachother not do 5X the damage?

Splash damage is not as severe as a direct hit. I always assumed the displayed damage text took all explosions into effect.

Well even a ton of splash damage should add up to a good bit, not to mention the erratic shrapnel going in every direction, that would also be moving at a higher rate of travel from the combined explosions of each mine.
As each mine exploded it would give added push to the remnants of the previous mine. Would like to see mines close together have a good chance to detonate mines near them from the shockwave as well. Even though I rarely use mines, sounds like a good idea. |

It already does this. I'm certain that the shockwave from multiple mines does stack, as I've seen many cases in Deathraces where a healthy dose of fragricide setting off a chain of mines has absolutely launched a car great distances, where a single mine would, at most, flip the car. |

Yes, mines set each other off. And the damage does stack. |
