(Tim "The Wheelman" Willis sits reading the latest gazette)
Tim: Hahaha this is to funny, `Sir` Michael Williams is the racing hero of some kid named Aaron. Danica: Who is Michael williams? Tim: Some young racer trying to make a name for himself, I think he beat one of Tammy's records last week but she took it back a few days later. He has a few trophies and this kid Aaron says he has a stack of trophies. Danica: Oh really? that kid has a wild imagination. Maybe we should send him a poster of our warehouse full of trophies. lol Tim: Yeah, the kid even has posters of this micheal guy, guess the kid has no clue who the real racing hero's are. Danica: Apparently not, oh wait now I remember seeing a Micheal listed as one of the top record holders on one of the local SS tracks. Tim: Indeed you did, but since one of Latte's crew decided to muscle in on Tammy's records in gateway, I decided to pay him back the favor and take his stop spot in SS. Danica: Ahh so the mighty hero of Aaron has fallen.lol Tim: Indeed he has, do me a favor and send Aaron some posters of real racing hero's from the Hellrazor gang. Danica: I'm on it. lol |

Overhearing the banter, Joel 'Autobahn' Auerbach cannot contain himself and shouts at the two:
"NO ONE GIVES A #### ABOUT YER LAP RECORDS YOU MAKE ALL BY YERSELVES". "Show up for a race once in a while..." |

(Tim sitting in Hellrazors HQs)
Tim: Did you hear something? Danica: No, probrably just the wind. Tim: Yeah, the wind of jealousy Danica: Hey Tim, remember that guy that screwed us out of the winners cup last year? Tim: Yeah, what about him? Danica: Did he actually try and race or did he pay off the refs? Tim: The usual, he could not beat Joe in a race, so he paid the refs off so he could break the rules. Danica: Ahh yes, that's right. I wonder if any of his racing cups were obtained by actually racing? Tim: Maybe a few, but I've seen his old vid clips, he usually paid off the refs since he could not even beat the local NPC racing gangs in those events. Danica: He must be racing some, he actually has a few stock car records and pro records. Tim: Yeah, he does try to race once in a while with players but from current records our team shows more stock records than his gang so our action with the locals is quite common. Danica: No surpise from a gang that spends more time running around with a rifle than actually driving. Danica: Oh and congrats on your league race win today. Tim: Thanks, looks like that other gang actually did a league race too. Danica(Shocked): Wow, there must have been rules in place about bringing weapons and he actually had to race. Tim: I'm sure he tried, but they beefed up security after the ref scandal he was involved in. |

[OOC] Yer killin' me, sir. I posted several times about wanting to do stories about in-game racers and only one person stepped up.
And I keep asking people to let me know about good races/league wins etc., that are story-worthy, but again, nobody gives me anything to work with. I'm not just looking for racers, as I've said time and again...I can do one-event gang scout stories...whatever. So, I work with what I have. Sir L' gave me background on his 'vision' of the ganger, I took it from there. I need tools!! |

(OOC) Damon, It was not a snipe against your well written story, I was only adding a bit of side story. I think it's great you did an article for Latte's racer, Latte puts plenty of effort into racing and an article about his guys is good. When I read the story, it read like Aaron was one of your characters that was actually racing with Latte and he was telling his encounters with Latte's gang. The story did not come off like it was all about Latte, which shows how well your story was written. Well done |
